The training conveys the theoretical basis of Voice over IP. An overview of traditional telephony technology helps understanding the differences of VoIP. The two industry-standard protocols "SIP" and "RTP" are being explained in detail. This includes protocol elements for telephony as well as extended functionality for typical PBX services and Instant Messaging / Presence.
